Vewd Unveils Streaming Player Reference Design
OSLO -- Vewd, the world's largest smart TV OTT software provider, in partnership with HiSilicon Technologies Co., Ltd, one of the world's leading semiconductor companies, today announced Vewd Go, a turnkey streaming media player reference design built for operators to boost subscribers by directly addressing the fast-evolving demands of the OTT generation. Vewd Go gives operators new ways to reach cord-nevers, cord-cutters, multi-room subscribers, and subscribers-on-the-go.
Built on Vewd OS technology, Vewd Go gives operators flexibility on how they program their offering (from first app position to a fully customizable home screen) and comes with a modern user experience, a robust app catalog, cloud-based management tools, and monetization opportunities.
Vewd Go consists of Vewd OS built on the HiSilicon 3798mv200 chipset, available for 4K devices, supporting both Linux and Android TV. While Vewd and Hilisilicon actively work with its hardware manufacturer partners to integrate Vewd Go, Operators have the flexibility to maintain their existing OEM relationships and deploy Vewd Go across a range of partners.
