Re: Very good execution!
Whether it turns out to be better and faster remains to be seen. If it is better and faster, it will certainly give Comcast a leg up in those few markets (I am in one) where there is a cable competitor.

But wait, there's more!
Deals like this a very interesting to watch unfold. I'm old enough to remember when Netflix was considered competition to cable networks. Cable providers bundling OTT services is certainly one way to keep subscribers from cutting the cord. I still see value in avoiding equipment fees and contracts.

Comcast/Netflix
I thought it was a great idea when Comcast made access to Netflix available through it's X1 platform but in practice it's not so great.  I access Netflix through my Apple TV box and it takes half the time to start a program than it does on the X1 platform. Also when watching Netflix on X1 (which I don't do anymore) there is more buffering degradation in picture quality than access through the Apple box. Maybe this new relationship will improve the performance but I doubt it.

Very good execution!
Yeah. I once wrote a letter to Comcast executives about working with Netflix. In the past, Netflix complained via press release that Comcast was trying to charge more for delivery of Netflix content. The reality was that delivery needed capacity via certain third-party fiber providers that had a turn-key solutions to add capacity for delivery of content. -

The press ran with the alternative narrative on the grounds of net neutrality, higher prices, as these were concepts easier to understand by a layperson.

Sill, it’s great to see how two major industry disruptors can work together to develop better and faster connectivity to the home. In turn, a high quality service which customers enjoy and are willing to pay for can be delivered.
